Yuba River Conservancy

The Yuba River Conservancy is a collaborative alliance of public agencies, private organizations, and citizens focused on protecting open space and farmland and enhancing the fishery and recreational opportunities along the Lower Yuba River corridor. Its goals include: creating public access and recreational opportunities; preserving farmland and ranchland and protecting working landscapes; and preserving and restoring wildlife habitat.

The conservancy uses collaboration and cooperation (via advocacy, research, education, and public awareness) to fulfill its vision. SYRCL has provided seed money to engage a facilitator to run the meetings. SYRCL also applied successfully for a CALFED grant to further the development of the group.
